- Started my interest in Astronomy in July 20, 1969 – Apollo’s 11 landing on the moon
- Built my first telescope in 1972 from optician glasses and carton tubes
- Joined the Youth Astronomy Club in Baghdad 1973 –
- My master in practical Astronomy was the oldest Iraqi amateur astronomer: Michael Abdul-Ahad (1915 – 1999)

- Searching for Dark Sky locations in southern Morocco since 2019
